This is another one of Β my “fossil” manis, which was created about TWO months ago! I’d like to say I’ve been busy, but no, I simply forgot about this one, lol. That’s why these nailsΒ look much shorter than my current nails. The design was crafty and fun to make, so I decided to share it anyway π
So, the inspiration of this design came from a place called Park Guell located in Barcelona, Spain. (The photo is from Travellers Adventures.) The tiled designs at this park are so mesmerising!! I really have to go there one day!!
My tiles are much simpler compared to the actual ones, but I did a little crafty work to add slight differences between each tile. Here is how I made them…
<Park Guell Inspired Tiled Nail Art Tutorial>
The tutorial has only the blue water marble tiles, but I made the green version in the same way too. The key is to cut the water marble strips in many different sizes and shapes. This will allow you to place them into spots like a jigsaw puzzle.
The dark blue polish I used for the water marble effect is one of my frankens π
It’s hard to see, but the non-tiled nails have soft marble effects. I created them using a super easy plastic wrap technique!
Thank you for visiting!!
What a cute idea! π

Hi Minnie! Gorgeous design, I had seen it before now and thought I had commented already but I’ve been a little mixed up recently! This is incredible, I knew there was some serious technique going on just by looking at it but the whole idea of tiling up a water marble design is simply awesome – your nails look amazing! I’m so sorry I did not get back to your email before now. Thank you so much for your kind words of support. You are such a sweet person! Things are getting easier now and luckily I did manage to go home for the week – Hopefully now there can be a little more normality. I hope you are doing well, can’t wait to see your next designs! xx
