Today I did “Polka Dot Nails” for the 31 Day Challenge!
I saw a polka dot love heart design done by @majikbeebz on her Instagram a few weeks ago and I totally fell in love!! Of course I had to try out the technique my self, but! it was quite tricky.
I initially started with a white polish base instead of this dark purple, and it didn’t turn out so well. The positioning of the dots required a fair amount of practice.
Anyway, I hope the mini tutorial below could help you avoid failing 3 times like I did :p
- Roughly draw some dots in a star shape with a light colour nail polish and the smallest dotting tool.
- Place more dots without touching each other.
- Switch between colours to create a star shape. Apply top coat to complete.
