Sorry for the crazy long title, lol. Yep, that’s what I have for you today! Chevron negative space nautical nails with a little bit of stamping. This is one of the designs I did last month, oops!
For this design I used a very sheer white polish as the base – Don’t Touch My Tutu! from OPI, and then added chevron lines, white gradients and stamping designs with white nail polish – Bright White from piCture pOlish.
The stamping plate I used is MoYou London Cook Book Plate #12. I usually make DIY decals with stamping tools because I’ve never been confident enough to stamp directly onto the nails. But! This time I pushed my limit and tried the direct stamping technique!
A few weeks ago, the super sweet Bundle Monster girls kindly sent me a load of nail art decals and vinyls, yaay!! I used a square vinyl to create the chevron design (which is one of the 7 piece Creative Shapes Set). It has the perfect amount of stickiness, which meant I didn’t need to stick it to my skin before placing onto the nails. And it also peels off easily and the line comes out nice and clean!
As I mentioned above, it was my first attempt to stamp directly onto the nails. The patterns were stretched a little bit (lol), but I didn’t mind them at all. I wanted to keep the design relatively simple, so I used only a few gold charms and some clear Swarovski rhinestones.
Thank you for visiting!!
gorgeous manicure, love that pretty sea studs 😀
Thank you so much Zana!! Hehe, me too 😀 I love the studs so much that I’m using them way too often :p <3 xxx
This is such a beautiful manicure and a really modern and pretty twist on nautical nails! I LOVE how the white looks against the negative 🙂 xx
Aww, thank you so very much Ithi! I used a regular white polish for the stamping to make it look kinda subtle 🙂 I’m really glad you like it!! Thank you!! <3 xxx
Your nails look perfect with this look and I love everything about it. Negative space is just so chic and elegant and combine it with white makes it even more so. And yay for being brave and doing direct stamping: it looks great, sweetie! 😀
Ohhh!! I’m so happy that you think it looks elegant!! Yaay!! 😀 And THANK YOU so much for being so positive about my direct stamping attempt! Now I’m glad I gave it a shot 😀 <3 xxxx
Love how you used the clear-ish white with solid white for the designs, very classy look!
How sweet of you to call them classy!!! <3 Thank you soooo very much!! 😀 xxxx
