FUN Lacquer Christmas 2016 Collection

Hello!! Today, I have something SUPER EXCITING to show you!! It’s a brand new collection from FUN Lacquer called Christmas 2016 Collection!

Early this month, the super sweet Yuin from FUN Lacquer, kindly offered me to do a review about their upcoming collection. I was in shock when I received the email…! That’s because it has been my dream to add FUN Lacquer nail polishes to my stash for a long time, especially since I missed the opportunity to get the awesome collection by Cristine aka SimplyNailogical on the release day!!

And secondly, swatching is not exactly my cup of tea. But I was too happy and honoured, so I decided to take on this great opportunity!

Okay, enough talking! Here is the gorgeous stars of the FUN Lacquer Christmas 2016 Collection!!

Let’s have a closer look!

Blue Christmas is a highly pigmented holographic polish. It has micro holographic sparkles and it requires only two coats to get the full opacity.

In the photo above, my poor camera and lighting work made the holo sparkles look like a silver colour, but it’s actually a beautiful rainbow colour. The small area under the letter “Q” and “U” is showing the rainbow…only slightly.

I’ve applied two coats to achieve this opacity. The colour is a beautiful royal blue!

The Red-Nosed Reindeer is also a holographic polish. It is highly pigmented and requires only two coats for the full opacity.

This one has a slightly larger holo sparkle than the Blue Christmas. And that made it easier to capture the gorgeous rainbow colour.

The colour of the bottle looks like a dark red, but it’s more like a magenta red. This is my absolute favourite!

Northern Lights is a glitter polish, and it has blue and green colour shifting glitter which creates a slight chameleon effect.

It has a clear base, so I decided to apply the second coat using a make up sponge, after applying the first coat in the normal way.

The sponging idea is good if you want the full glitter effect like in the photo above!

The Jingle Bells is also a glitter polish, and it is loaded with a similar glitter as the Northern Lights but with a pinkish chameleon colour.

It is SO sparkly and colour shifting everywhere. Honestly, I couldn’t choose which part of the polish I should take the photos of!

I applied the first coat in the normal way, and then added more glitter using a make up sponge.

Chandelier is a pinkish copper coloured holographic polish. It is packed with distinct holo glitter and requires two coats to get the full opacity.

The colour of this polish is absolutely gorgeous! It’s not orange, brown nor like a rose gold. It’s just a perfect copper colour with loaded rainbow magic!

I LOVE the polishes that make my skin look healthy. And this is definitely one of them!

Lastly, Snow In The Rainbow Night is the queen of this collection, I’d say! It has a super generous amount of holo glitter with small dark green glitter.

This polish changes its colour depending on the angle! In the photo above, it looks like a silver holo glitter polish. But when you change the view a little bit…

It looks like a dark green colour! I don’t know how this magic works, but it is STUNNING!! I applied the first coat in the normal way, and then added some glitter using a make up sponge. For this polish, I applied a third coat in the normal way to smooth out the surface.

Overall, I’m in LOVE!! They are SO beautiful (of course), the flat polish brushes have the perfect length and firmness, which makes it super easy to apply around the cuticle line. They’re easy to remove and totally stain free!

And what I was most impressed with was the drying time. I usually start applying from the thumb and finish with the pinky. After the first coat, I wait for a few minutes before applying the second coat in the same order. With FUN Lacquer polishes, I was able to apply the second coat immediately after finishing the first coat on the pinky.
