Hedgehog Christmas Nail Art

Yaay! I’m so glad that I didn’t miss doing a Christmas nail art (a week to spare, phew!). Today, I’m going to show you my Hedgehog Christmas nail art.

On my middle finger, I hand painted a hedgehog santa! I used both gel polishes and acrylic paint to draw him.

I’ve learned that it’s better to use acrylic paint to draw the tiny details such as his facial parts and the spikes. The paint is more pigmented than a regular gel polish and the drawing will turn out much clearer.

On my ring finger, I’ve created a christmas present design. I’m currently obsessed with creating a window of design with some flakies underneath, and then outline around it using a white gel polish 🙂 It gives a little emboss effect and I love it!

On my thumb, I’ve drawn another hedgie who is catching his Christmas present!

For the red base colour on my index and ring, I used CHERI CHERI from Kiara Sky. I’ve mixed a few different gel polishes to create the light beige colour for my thumb, middle and pinky (the details are in the video below).

Underneath the Christmas present window on my ring finger, I used Horcrux from Starrily, which has pink and yellow flakies.

It’s hard to see the colour of the flaky through the bottle, but you can see the bright pink colour on the brush. Do you like my new nail polish stand?? It’s called Polish Posie and it’s really useful to keep my polishes and tools in place!
