Is it summer on the other side of the world already?! Because I’ve been seeing so many summery nail art designs everywhere on social media lately! Luckily, this nice and summery Little Mermaid inspired nail art was the theme Sandi picked for me for the latest video tutorial on CutePolish!!
For this design, I used a lot of gradient effects and drew subtle bubbles, fish and seaweed to create an underwater background. On the pinkie and index, I drew wavy lines inspired by Ariel’s tail.
When I did an Ariel inspired nail art before, I drew her with her eyes closed. So I’m very happy that I had another opportunity to draw her with her eyes open! Hehe, the eyes are the part that I most enjoy drawing when I’m doing character nail art designs 😀
For my lefthand (my dominant hand), I made a Flounder decal on a plastic freezer bag. Can you tell who the little pink starfish is? It’s Peach from Finding Nemo, hahaha 😀
The seahorses on my lefthand are also decals. For the pinkie and index, I used a wave and bubble pattern on BM-XL209 stamping plate, which I also used for Elsa and Jack Frost nail art a while ago.
Here is the tutorial video featured on the CutePolish channel! If you’re wondering why some of my nail art videos are on CutePolish channel, this is how it all started 🙂
I hope you like this design! If you decide to recreate, please tag me (@nailbees) and add #nailbees to your post! I’d LOVE to see it!!!
